Receiving of Orders and Ongoing Business in the U.S. Market

Background
Say Inc., which develops, manufactures, and sells miso powder, was already in a situation where gathering information by themselves and through JETRO – localization of
packaging, FDA compliance, etc. – local test sales, etc. was being promoted smoothly. However, because the company lacked overseas sales resources for the U.S. market it
decided to utilize Glosperity’s “Overseas Sales Representation” service.
Support Content
In addition to Glosperity’s existing partners, we provide continuous support. From overseas sales activities to the expansion of transactions after receiving an order with several
potential new partners who are considered to be a good match for the client’s products. Support is provided in the following ways:

・Online-based approach to the listed companies
・Sales activities in the U.S. (visits, provision of samples, face-to-face business negotiations on behalf of the client)
・Participation in exhibitions held in the U.S. and introduction of products on behalf of the client

・Establishment of commercial distribution (through our scheme of transaction intermediation)
・Regular follow-up with clients
Results
As a result of sales activities, the client received an order from one U.S. retailer. After receiving the order, we acted as an intermediary for the transaction and provided support
through our trading company function (the client only handles domestic transportation). After the start of the transaction orders have been coming in regularly from the U.S.
In addition to exposure through JETRO’s sample showrooms, exposure at retail outlets (two locations) with the support of our company has also helped the client to create
exposure opportunities in the U.S. market, where miso powder is not yet that well known.
From Now Onwards
Currently, while continuing to follow up on existing orders, our company is continuing to support sales activities to several potential partners in order to receive additional orders.
In addition, as a result of the increased local exposure there is a good possibility that inbound inquiries will rise in the future, such as requests to handle the products, etc.
Our company will also provide support in handling such inquiries. By promoting both outbound and inbound responses, we aim to expand the scale of local distribution.
