Overseas Expansion from Scratch and the Realization of Orders and Ongoing Business in the U.S.

Background
The client was interested in expanding overseas to develop new sales channels for the tawashi (scrubbing brush) made by the craftsmen of Kitayama Masazumi Shoten but was
not quite sure where to start. The company lacked its own overseas sales know-how and resources so it decided to utilize Glosperity’s “Overseas Sales Representation” service.
Support Content
Through regular meetings we first propose and discuss a policy for overseas expansion based on information on the existing domestic business and products.
We then conduct test marketing using our e-commerce site to verify sales potential in the market and prioritize target products. Following this we start sales activities through local
partners in the U.S. After creating the necessary contents such as flyers and sales materials, for the U.S. market and narrowing down the target customers we conducted sales
activities, both online and locally, in the U.S. Support is provided in the following ways:

Results
As a result of our sales activities the client received orders from a retailer in San Francisco for several products, including kitchen and pet scrubbing brushes. After receiving the
order our company acted as an intermediary for the transaction and provided support through our trading company service (the client only handles domestic transportation).
Even after the start of trading regular orders have been coming in from the U.S. and the commercial volume (including product lineup) has been on the rise.
From Now Onwards
While continuing to follow up on existing orders our company is also continuing to support sales activities for additional orders to several potential customers.
Further expansion of sales channels will be pursued in the future.
